Sheepwagon Pictures

     Sheep cannot be left alone. They must be tended at all times. The sheepwagon was developed in the mid 1800's, by Basque sheep men, as a mobile home for the sheepherder. In this way the herder can always be near his band of sheep and can be moved from place to place quickly and easily. These wagons are unique and serve their purpose well. They are still common in many areas of the Rocky Mountain States, but they are beginning to disappear.
